In February, we are working on awarding grants to local non-profits serving the needs of our southern Chester County residents. This process (called Allocations) involves over 50 trained volunteers from our community. They will spend February and March reviewing requests, analyzing agencies' financial positions and ability to achieve results with your funds, and quizzing the agencies directly about their proposed programs.
One of the benefits of making a donation directly to this United Way is that you can be assured that we are thoroughly vetting the agencies who receive your dollars. They are held to account each year for any funds awarded to them. UWSCC takes very seriously the stewardship of your donations to us.
